The best part about the video is that Paula makes no apologies for how ridiculous this is! It’s as if it’s completely normal. Apparently this burger is not Paula’s invention and has a history of being called “The Luther Burger.” It even has its own Wikipedia entry. Better Than Hunk-o-mania?

I gave a wine seminar this past Saturday for a group of young ladies in their mid 20s, out for their friend’s bachelorette. I came to the table at Picasso restaurant, planning to do an overview of the basics of tasting as well as the top 10 misconceptions and finally some FAQs. I was unsure of what to expect in terms of the breadth of wine knowledge that these women would have. I must say, I was impressed. Questions were fired at me from all levels of wine knowledge from the basic what wines do I pair with fish? up to what creates the steely flavors that I sometimes get in wine? These girls were excited about wine and had an incredible thirst for knowledge. In a group of about 15 girls, I expected some to tune me out and guzzle their sangria instead. I was certainly mistaken, and pleasantly surprised. I received the sweetest email following the seminar that my little portion of the evening was deemed better than Hunk-o-mania,- the next ‘entertainment’. Now that’s some tough competition! Moral of the story: I’m not the only young female wine geek out there. The millennial market is ripe for learning and experiencing wine in all facets.
