Not sure if it was the lack of sleep or the excessive amount of wine but I just couldn’t seem to get my words together at Sunday’s super bowl party. Nevertheless, the pics of Mouton and Tullie in their Giants gear and the chopped liver in the shape of, you guessed it, made by my Aunt, were pretty cute. I can’t help myself:
Filed under Self Absorption | Comments (5)So, I had some incredible inspiration last night as I was out in the Financial District aka the land of douche baggery. Why not post real, in-the-flesh douche quotes for my readers’ enjoyment? Thus I am beginning a new series called, for lack of a better term, “Douche Quotes.” If anyone can think of a better name for this, please let me know. Otherwise kick back as hilarity ensues….
Douche- Oh my god. My shirt is so tight! Must be because my muscles are so big. Seriously, it’s really tight. Hey have you guys ever been to Cheesecake Factory? It rocks!
Friend #1- Hey have you ever been to Applebee’s?
Douche- You guys like Applebee’s?
Me- Dude, she’s making fun of you.
Douche- Whatever, you guys don’t even know anything about food.
Filed under Self Absorption | Comments (7)So, I’m leaving in less than an hour and I felt I had to dedicate a post to my upcoming family trip to Turkey. It seems that whenever I mention my trip, people rave about the country from first hand experience or from friends they know who have been. So, what am I most excited about?
10. The weather is going to be 80-85 degrees and sunny every day
9. The Bosphorus Straits which separate Europe and Asia are supposed to be gorgeous and we should have a great view from our hotel room.
8. I loves me some hummus.
7. The mosques, frescoes, ruins, churches, museums, tiles, carpets etc. etc. etc.
6. Will be very interesting to see the culture and how things have changed with the new government, if at all.
5. Turkish men are pretty cute.
4. The nightlife in old Istanbul is supposed to be incredible.
3. Shopping at the Bazaar
2. Turkish coffee
1. I can’t believe this is a Strum trip with some beach-and-boat relaxation actually planned into it. Never thought I’d see the day.
Anyone been? Any tips or must- see’s?
